Fiserv to Open Regional Headquarters in Overland Park, Bringing 2,000 Jobs and $125M Investment
Fiserv Inc., a leading financial technology firm headquartered in Milwaukee, has announced plans to establish a new regional headquarters at the Aspiria campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The expansion will bring 2,000 high-paying jobs to the area over the next few years and include a $125 million investment to modernize and customize the leased office space.
According to city records, the initiative—known internally as “Project Turtle”—includes leasing approximately 427,000 square feet of existing space at the former Sprint campus. Public documents show that Fiserv plans to spend $125 million on improvements to support its operational needs.
The company’s plans also include an average annual salary of $125,000 per job, signaling a significant boost for the region’s employment market. An Overland Park committee unanimously approved the initial step in drafting a 10-year, 40% property tax rebate for the company’s leased space. However, the rebate will not impact property taxes allocated to the Blue Valley School District or Johnson County Community College.
Fiserv did not originally have Overland Park on its shortlist. Company officials were evaluating other major metropolitan areas—including Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix, and Nashville. However, the decision shifted in favor of Overland Park after the company cited strong public schools, the city’s business-friendly environment, and a workforce more open to in-office work as key advantages.
“The decision to establish a regional headquarters at Aspiria came after careful evaluation of locations that aligned with our culture and long-term growth goals,” sources familiar with the internal planning stated.
Local officials and developers view the move as a strong signal of confidence in Overland Park’s growing status as a hub for financial and technological services. The expected job creation, high average salaries, and corporate investment are seen as major wins for the community.
Fiserv, which reported $20.5 billion in revenue and $3.1 billion in net income for 2024, remains the largest publicly traded company based in Wisconsin. This expansion into Kansas represents a strategic step toward strengthening its operational footprint nationwide.
Construction and onboarding phases are scheduled to begin later this year, with hiring and regional operations expected to scale through 2030.
